GABION
TRUONG SON GABION
Truong Son Gabion is manufactured by the machine under Germany technology, specialized in bank protection, erosion prevention, revetment walls, traffic, irrigation and construction works. Gabion is a cubic product created from galvanized steel wires netted into a hexagon with or without PVC coating. This special feature helps the gabion to suffer big impacts. Especially, this helps gabion to be used in weak soil areas where structures need further reinforcement and ground processing. In addition, water absorption through rock layers will annul water pressure behind the revetment wall or uplift pressure underneath. Therefore, the required thickness of the structure will be reduced dramatically.
FEATURES OF NETTING WIRES AND MESS BORDER WIRES
Mess plates and mess sides are twisted in three cycles to create a unique hexagon not separated when being cut. The margins of mess plates are bordered by larger-diameter border wires to facilitate firm and inelastic mess.
Steel wires must ensure the following features:
- All steel wires used in gabion production must past strict tensile strength test in compliance to the standards.
- Steel wires are galvanized by hot-dip method to ensure the weight of coating according to TCVN 2053 – 1993 or international standards depending on project’s requirements.
- For works with rust prevention requirement, steel wires are coated with a PVC layer with minimum thickness of 0.5mm.
- To enhance the hardness of gabion and separate movement of soil and rock during installation process, the partitions with uniform 1m distance are fixed inside the gabion.
- Permitted tolerance in production is 1% for steel core diameter, 5% lengthwise and 3% widthwise for gabion and reno mattress.
